I'm an Architectural Technologist with over 18 years' experience delivering complex commercial retail fit-outs across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. I lead a small studio team at BrookerFlynn Architects, specialising in travel and airport retail for clients including WHSmith, InMotion and Pandora. My day-to-day spans detailed Revit and SketchUp-based design, UK building regulations, landlord approvals and coordinating with in-country technical architects on international projects.
I have delivered compliant fit-out designs against the landlord design guidelines of Westfield, JLL, British Land, intu, Trafford Centre, Meadowhall and multiple UK and European airports. That depth of landlord-side experience - understanding what a review process requires, what a compliant submission looks like, and how to guide a design through approval - runs through everything I do.
Alongside practice, I build the systems and AI tools that make design studios run faster - from automated drawing issue workflows to AI-assisted concept visualisation using SketchUp and Revit. I'm also the founder of Urban Brief, a data-driven property intelligence platform.
